Home with a shingle roof and dormer window

Roof rejuvenation in Asheville. Add years, not a new roof.

A plant-based treatment that brings dried-out asphalt shingles back to life, for a fraction of the cost of replacement and usually in a single day.

How it works

Shingles don’t wear out. They dry out.

Asphalt shingles stay waterproof because of the oils in the asphalt. Years of mountain sun, summer heat and winter freeze-thaw cook those oils out. The shingles turn brittle, start cracking, and shed the granules that protect them from UV, which speeds everything up.

Rejuvenation reverses that drying. We spray a plant-based treatment across the roof. It soaks into the asphalt and restores the flexibility the shingles lost, so they bend in the wind instead of cracking and hold onto their granules again.

For a roof that’s aging but still sound, that means years of extra life without the cost, noise and waste of a tear-off.

Why homeowners choose it

The smart move for a roof with life left in it.

A fraction of the cost

Pay to restore the roof you have instead of financing a new one before you need to.

Done in about a day

Most homes are treated in a single visit, scheduled around a dry forecast.

No tear-off, no mess

No dumpster in the driveway, no hammering, no stray nails in the yard.

Keeps shingles out of the landfill

A typical tear-off sends tons of old shingles to the dump. Rejuvenation keeps them working on your roof.

Backed in writing

Every treatment comes with a written 6-year performance warranty.

Can be repeated

Many roofs can be treated again down the road to keep extending their life.

Side by side

Is your roof a candidate?

We only recommend it when it will work.

Rejuvenation is for asphalt shingle roofs that are aging but structurally sound. Here’s how we tell.

Usually a good fit

  • Asphalt shingles that still lie flat
  • Faded, dry or brittle-feeling shingles
  • Granules collecting in the gutters
  • Dark algae streaks on shaded slopes
  • No active leaks and a solid deck

Usually better to replace

  • Active leaks or water stains inside
  • Widespread curling, cupping or missing shingles
  • Soft, sagging or rotted decking
  • Major storm damage
  • Metal, slate, tile or wood shake roofs

The process

From inspection to treated roof.

  1. Inspection

We check shingle flexibility, granule loss, flashing and decking, and show you photos.

  2. Repairs first

Any missing shingles, failed pipe boots or loose flashing are fixed before treatment.

  3. Treatment

On a dry day we treat the entire roof evenly, slope by slope. Most homes take about a day.

  4. Walkaround

A final walkaround with you, plus your written warranty and photos for your records.

Rejuvenation FAQ

Questions about roof rejuvenation.

Does roof rejuvenation really work?

Yes, on the right roof. Shingles age as sun and heat bake out the oils that keep them flexible. A rejuvenation treatment replaces those oils, so shingles bend instead of cracking and hold onto the granules that shield them from UV.

How many years does it add?

It depends on your roof’s age and condition. A treatment can add several years of useful life, and many roofs can be treated again later. We put the expected results and warranty in writing before any work begins.

Will rejuvenation fix a leak?

No. Rejuvenation restores aging shingles but doesn’t repair leaks. We fix leak sources, missing shingles and failed flashing first, then treat the roof.

What kinds of roofs can be rejuvenated?

Asphalt shingle roofs only. It isn’t used on metal, slate, tile or wood shake.

How long does it take?

About a day for most homes, with no tear-off, dumpster or nails in the yard. The treatment needs a dry forecast, so we schedule around the weather.
