Roofer installing new shingles on a home

Roof replacement in Asheville, built for the mountains.

A complete tear-off and a new Owens Corning® shingle roof, installed as a full system with the details that keep water out through Blue Ridge winters.

When it’s time

Signs your roof needs replacing, not repairing.

If you’re seeing more than one of these, a new roof usually costs less over the next decade than chasing leaks.

  • Leaks or ceiling stains that come back after repairs.
  • Curling, cupping or cracked shingles across large areas of the roof.
  • Missing shingles after wind, or bare spots where granules are gone.
  • A sagging roofline or soft spots when walked, which point to wet decking.
  • A roof past about 20 years with original shingles.
  • Storm damage from wind, hail or falling limbs, including roofs hit during Hurricane Helene.

Seeing only faded shingles, granules in the gutters or algae streaks? Your roof may be a candidate for rejuvenation instead.

What’s included

Every replacement is a complete roof system.

Shingles are only the part you see. These are the layers that decide whether a mountain roof lasts.

Tear-off to the deck

We remove every old layer so we can see the wood underneath. No shortcuts and no overlays.

Decking check & repair

Soft or rotted sheets are photographed and replaced at the per-sheet price in your estimate.

Ice & water shield

A self-sealing membrane along the eaves, in every valley and around chimneys and skylights.

Synthetic underlayment

A tough, water-resistant layer over the whole deck that stays put in wind during installation.

New flashing & pipe boots

Fresh drip edge, step flashing and pipe boots, because old metal and rubber are where leaks start.

Balanced ventilation

Ridge and intake vents sized to your attic to prevent ice dams, trapped moisture and baked shingles.

We install Owens Corning® shingles with matching starter, hip and ridge components as part of the Owens Corning Total Protection Roofing System®.

Roof replacement FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us.

Can new shingles go over my old roof?

We tear every replacement off to the deck. Building codes limit how many layers a roof can carry, and an overlay hides soft or rotten decking and shortens the life of the new shingles.

What happens if the decking is rotten?

We check every sheet after tear-off. Anything soft or rotted is photographed and replaced at the per-sheet price written into your estimate, so there are no surprise charges.

Do I need to be home?

No. Just move cars out of the driveway and leave us access to an outdoor outlet. We’ll walk the finished roof with you at the end.

What warranty comes with a new roof?

Owens Corning® shingles carry a manufacturer’s limited warranty, and we add our own written workmanship warranty of 10 years on the installation.

How do I choose a shingle color?

We bring Owens Corning sample boards to your home so you can see colors against your siding in daylight, and we can share photos of nearby homes with the same color. Check HOA rules before you decide.
